"I DO" adore a Vera Wang wedding gown

I'm sure many little girls have spent many long wistful hours dreaming up their perfect wedding day. The cake, the dress, the flowers, and most importantly the groom. This was never really a big dream of mine, however I used to and still do love and marvel at wedding dresses. I remember when my mom and I would go to the grocery store and while waiting in the checkout isle, every once and a while I was allowed to pick out a magazine. This was a very big deal to me as I had a deep infatuation with magazines, and I'd almost always choose a bridal magazine. I loved the gowns, all of the models looked so beautiful in them. There was something about the designs, maybe the spirit of the whole thing, that I believe intrigued me. Although I'm far from the marriage stage, every now and then I will treat myself to a Modern Bride magazine and some adoration time.

One of my favourite wedding gown designers is Vera Wang.

Fun facts about Vera Wang:

-Vera attended the University of Paris and earned a degree in Art History.

-Trained as a figure skater for the U.S. figure skating championships

-Featured in Sport Illustrated

-When she failed to make the US figure skating Olympic team she entered the fashion industry.

-Vera was a senior editor for Vogue for 16 years, she left Vogue after being turned down for the editor-in-chief position currently run by Anna Wintour.

-Worked with Ralph Lauren as a design director for two years and in 1990 she opened her own design salon.

-Vera was born June 27th (my bday!) 1949.

Is Au Nautural for you ?

Au Natural is totally in for fall 2010 hair styles. What better way to revive your damaged hair back to heath then to have a style that doesn't require you to over style! Grow it out (easier said than done) or find a dye that's close to your natural hair colour and go with it! The great thing about your natural colour is that it works great with your natural complexion, it will never be too over powering and you know it's a safe bet. You could also try a Rachel Bilson & Giselle Bundchens Ombre look (shaded, with the colour graduating from dark to light or vise versa); my aunt likes to call it the Victoria's Secret Model look!

If you're not one for changing up your hair style to meet every seasonal trend, try a fringe, they look great on most face shapes and easily create a subtle diverse look.

Some of my favourite bold looks (that I'm too chicken to pull off myself) are: Nicole Richie & Mandi Moores short bob, stunning!

Inspired by MJ (Marc Jacobs)

The Fall 2010 Louis Vuitton Collection:

Designed by Marc Jacobs.
The look was notably Mad-Men inspired; the collection radiated true femininity and sensuality! Voluptuous models strutted the runway in full skirts, knit sweaters & bouncy pony tails creating a real Parisian feel!
Corsets were featured in wool or leather paired with tweed jackets, sequined cable-knit sweaters, beautiful redesigned handbags and leather gloves! Blazers were paired with matching skirts and 3/4 length sleeves. The longer hemline of the full length skirts expressed a more conservative trend. The beautiful bow-peep shoes were undoubtedly one of my favourite new must haves! Marc Jacobs statement at the beginning of the show "And god created women," was a perfect representation of his fall line-up!!

I Adore it!
